CLEVELAND (JULY 11, 2019) – The Kluber Family Foundation, the charitable organization of Cleveland Indians Pitcher Corey Kluber, launched ticket sales on Friday for its annual fundraiser, ‘Curveball for a Cause.’ The second annual ‘Curveball for a Cause’ will be held on Monday, September 16th at the Metropolitan at the 9, featuring a cocktail reception, exquisite dinner, and both silent and live auctions.
The inaugural ‘Curveball for a Cause,’ held in 2018, featured more than twenty Cleveland Indians players in attendance. Guests of the event this year will again receive the opportunity to mix and mingle with their favorite baseball players in what is sure to be Cleveland’s can’t-miss baseball event of the fall.
During the event, Kluber and his wife, Amanda, will speak to the importance of the Kluber Family Foundation’s work in the community. The mission of the Kluber Family Foundation is to impact the lives of families who have seriously ill and chronically ill children, by providing them with daily support through life-improving resources and life-changing experiences.
Proceeds from ‘Curveball for a Cause’ will benefit the foundation’s signature community outreach programs, including ‘Kluber’s Kids’ and ‘Kluber’s Korner.’ The Klubers were on hand at UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital on June 25th to unveil their inaugural Kluber’s Korner, which will impact upward of 300,000 seriously ill children and their family members every year.
Indians fans and foundation supporters can purchase their tickets for ‘Curveball for a Cause’ at the Kluber Family Foundation’s event page. Numerous sponsorship packages are still available for those interested in attaching their company’s brand to the two-time Cy Young Award winner and leading athlete philanthropist.

Corey and Amanda have spent time in children’s hospitals and have seen the impact that having a sick child has on the entire family. They hope to connect with these families to help make the road a little easier through their programming.

Children with serious and chronic illnesses endure constant difficulties. Limited mobility, regular hospital visits, time away from school, financial instability, and painful physical conditions all work to lessen their quality of life.

Since breaking into the Majors in 2011 with the Cleveland Indians, Corey has become one of the league’s most involved players in the community. Corey and Amanda have spent countless hours visiting to children’s hospitals and meeting with many families who have children battling for their lives.
